The Culture They Carried: Women Immigrants of Iowa is an exhibit that explores immigration to the state through a woman's perspective. The exhibit discusses what life was like for early women immigrants as well as how life differed depending on when a woman immigrated and where she came from. The exhibit displays artifacts from women immigrants from Germany, Mexico, Sweden, Ireland, Russia, and women with Jewish heritage. This exhibit is free for all Girl Scouts and their families; just mention you are a Girl Scout at the door.
