With the support of an adult mentor, Girl Scouts of all ages can participate as Juliettes! Named after our founder, Juliette Gordon Low, girls who participate as Juliettes are not formal members of Girl Scout Troops. Continuing as a Girl Scout Juliette creates freedom and flexibility to any girl’s schedule!
As a Juliette, she won’t just earn badges independently. Friendship is a major pillar of Girl Scouts, so make sure she follows a few of these how-tos to stay active and engaged.
This year has come with so many twists and turns, but one silver lining is the expansion of virtual programs. Now, Juliettes can connect with other Girl Scouts in their age level online while cooking, crafting, coding, and more.
Camp is where it is at while social distancing! Our outdoor program team is planning lots of fun activities at our local Girl Scout camps and other locations like State Parks. And your whole family can join the fun! Check the calendar for friends & family days and Family Halloweekend coming up!
Making the world a better place is what Girl Scouts are all about! When she works towards a sustainable solution to a problem she identifies in her community, she is on her way to earning a High Award. Bronze (for Juniors), Silver (for Cadettes), and Gold (for Seniors and Ambassadors) Awards also look great on a resume!
Girls can still join the Fall Product Program and sell Girl Scout Cookies in the winter, even if they are not active members of a Troop. When she participates, she can work on her business skills, achieve great prizes, and earn program credit for activities.
Travel (in the future!)
We are dreaming of that next getaway, too! Luckily for Girl Scouts, we already have trips organized. For example, in June 2022, a group of Girl Scouts is going to Australia and New Zealand.
When she joins even a few of these opportunities, she will be immersed in the Girl Scout program. And these unique options can be arranged to fit your schedule!
