Dance, craft, learn, and explore with your troop and celebrate all things Girl Scouts at Journey the World on April 15th, 2023!
The day of celebration starts at 10:00 a.m. with Celebrating Girl Scouts, an opportunity to honor the volunteers and Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award Girl Scouts who have taken action to make the world a better place this year. Join us on the "green carpet" to cheer on the volunteers and Girl Scouts receiving awards.
At 12:00, Girl Scouts, families, and troops are invited to take a
trip around the world at Journey the World.
Our annual
Journey the World event celebrates World Thinking Day by getting our
members together for fun, hands-on activities and learning
opportunities with community partners.
This year at
Journey the World, your Girl Scout will...
- Earn the World Thinking Day Patch by visiting with vendors and doing fun activities!
- See the World Balloon and step inside!
- Learn a Chinese Dance from University of IA Chinese Dance Club!
- Renew for another year of Girl Scouts and get some surprise swag!
- Build a catapult to help make recycling fun!
- Reuse #2 bottle caps/bottles to make a mural for the Cedar Rapids office!
