Day of the G.I.R.L.
The United Nations declared October 11 as the International Day of the Girl – a special day to bring awareness to the needs and challenges today’s girls face, as well as promote girl empowerment. At Girl Scouts, our programs are designed to help girls build courage, confidence and character to help tackle these unique challenges they face. People around the world will be celebrating girls and their accomplishments on this day. Join us in celebrating the Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, and Leaders of the world, by making a gift to Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
