Gift of Girl Scouts

As a troop leader, you know better than anyone that Girl Scouts is such an important part of girls’ lives.

  • It’s a place where girls can find a safe and supportive environment—where they connect socially and emotionally.
  • A place where they share with their peers and lean on trusted adult mentors like you.
  • A place that will not only impact them today -- but that will impact them for years to come.

Your troop can give the gift of Girl Scouts -- a gift that will provide other girls with the space to be themselves, to have fun, and to find solidarity through sisterhood. This is a way for your troop to take action and lend a hand to sisters in need. Because that’s what Girl Scouts is all about.

Please take this opportunity to sit down with your troop and have a conversation about troop finances and what Girl Scouts means to them. And then let them know how they can give the same opportunity to other girls. It costs about $300 to provide a girl with a year of strong programs that can change her life.

“My troops voted whether to participate or not… These girls are all so generous it made me tear up. They simply wanted other girls to have the same opportunity to be Girl Scouts as they do. They hoped the new girls would love to go adventuring as much as they did and they knew it was a tough time for some… They had no concerns of shorting themselves of funds…” - Michele Vander Horn, volunteers with Troops 2299 and 5578

The Gift of Girl Scouts provides girls in our community the chance to join Girl Scouts by covering their membership fee, and last year, 26 troops gave to the Gift of Girl Scouts! Each girl who chose to give was able to receive her own patch for her generosity.

This year, we invite each of your leaders and girls to support other girls again and receive the 2021 Gift of Girl Scout patch.

Troops must donate at least $5 per troop member to receive free Gift of Girl Scouts patches. Patches will be mailed within 30 days on making the donation.
