Service Units are communities of volunteers in a region who come together to lend support, share resources, and plan events for local Girl Scouts. Our council covers 38 counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois and relies on dedicated volunteers to make a local impact. From hosting a "cookie cupboard" to pick up Girl Scout Cookie orders to hosting a day camp each summer, Service Units make our Movement strong.
Looker is a digital resource that provides membership reports and data dashboards for our council.
Host a day camp for Girl Scouts in your community! With your leadership, girls will have a fun experience in the outdoors, leading them to a deeper appreciation of nature and allowing them to develop meaningful leadership skills.
All Service Unit day camps must receive council approval. After submitting information about your day camp, our team can support your program by issuing grants for campers, providing reimbursement for program credit, and marketing your day camp on our council website and social media.
