Girl Scout troops that have a variety of experiences gain new opportunities to learn new skills, make a difference in their community, and have a ton of fun.
We offer Honor Troop status to troops who complete these steps:
- Set and keep a regular meeting time and location
- Participate in Girl Scout traditions like reciting the Promise and Law at each meeting
- Volunteers complete assigned trainings on gsLearn
- Host a parent/caregiver meeting
- Complete a community service project
- Take part in an outdoor activity
- Experience a field trip or Girl Scout event
- Earn badges and journeys
- Participate in the Fall Product and Cookie Programs
- Have fun with each activity and include girls in planning
When troops accomplish these steps, they can apply for Honor Troop status, have their photos and experiences shared on our social media pages, and be recognized at Celebrating Girl Scouts in the spring.
