Camp L-Kee-Ta Rental Pause FAQ

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois has extended the pause on reservations at Camp L-Kee-Ta while conducting a strategic review of the property's long-term role within our council.

The purpose of this review is to thoughtfully evaluate how the property can best support the Girl Scout mission for years to come. As part of this process, the Board will consider a variety of factors, including mission impact, property needs, operational requirements, financial stewardship, community support, and future opportunities for serving girls.

No final decisions have been made regarding the future of Camp L-Kee-Ta. Extending the reservation pause allows the Board the time needed to conduct a thorough review before making any long-term decisions.
