Girl Scouts welcomed a gift of $30,000 from the Arconic Foundation to support STEM programming for girls!
“Summer camp is a core part of the Girl Scout experience, and we’re grateful for Arconic’s continued support of our outdoor programs,” says Diane Nelson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. “Thanks to their generosity, girls explored science, technology, engineering, and math in a hands-on, outdoor setting—proving that camp is the perfect place to spark curiosity and build STEM skills.”
Girl Scout summer camp is a unique space where girls with different backgrounds, abilities, and experiences come together to have fun and learn new skills. With the support of trained and caring staff members, Girl Scouts build their confidence, develop a passion for the outdoors, and discover independence.
