Girl Scouts welcomed a gift of $20,000 from the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation to support Girl Scouts in Scott and Rock Island Counties.
“Hubbell-Waterman’s consistent support of local Girl Scouts is creating the next generation of leaders in the Quad Cities,” says Diane Nelson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. “Our goal is to give every girl in the Quad Cities the opportunity to join Girl Scouts. Their support will help Girl Scouts gain valuable skills and develop strong core values.”
To create kind, confident, and competent leaders, the Girl Scout program centers around the outdoors, STEM, life skills, and entrepreneurship. Activities for Girl Scouts are fun and research-backed, with each badge, field trip, and event building independence, creativity, and resilience.
