Girl Scouts welcomed a gift of $20,000 from the Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) to support renovations for the Outpost cabin at Camp Liberty!
The renovation of the camping unit will ensure barrier-free access with smooth paths that can accommodate wheelchairs. Other features will be a raised fire ring, ramps, and an accessible picnic table that ensures all guests feel welcome.
"Exposure to the outdoors is more vital than ever," says Diane Nelson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. "By making the cabins more accessible, we’re giving every girl an opportunity to grow her courage, confidence, and character.”
