This special day is a celebration of all things Girl Scouts and truly showcases how our movement is making our communities and world a better place.
Starting off at 10:30 a.m. at the Bend XPO, we will celebrate the accomplishments of Girl Scouts, troops, and volunteers at Celebrating Girl Scouts.
This ceremony will recognize Girl Scouts who have taken action to make the world a better place through the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award, as well as graduating Girl Scouts. We also will be recognizing the volunteers who have been nominated for awards for their dedication and support of Girl Scouts. Members are invited to attend to cheer on award recipients.
If you plan on attending Celebrating Girl Scouts or you are receiving an award or recognition, please register to attend. Honorees need to register by April 1st, 2026 to be recognized at the event.
After celebrating everyone's accomplishments, at 12:30 p.m. we will kick off the main event: Journey the World!
At Journey the World, Girl Scouts, troops, families, and community members will come together to explore different countries and our global movement around the world--we'll supply the passports! Girl Scouts will dance, make crafts, enjoy entertainment from local performers, learn about world cultures, earn their World Thinking Day patch, and so much more!
Troop booths are the heart of this exciting event. If your troop or Service Unit is interested in leading an activity or teaching attendees about a different country, sign up to host a booth.
We have a block of rooms set aside for Girl Scouts at the Wyndham Moline for Friday night, April 17th. The room rate will be about $119 + taxes and a $5 parking fee (per vehicle). A hot breakfast on Saturday and wifi will be included.
Lifeguards will be provided at the hotel pool, and pizza will be available Friday night for an additional $8 per person.
The hotel is about a 9 minute drive from the Bend XPO where Celebrations and Journey the World will be held.
To break down the overall cost, for roughly $40-45 per participant you will get admission to Journey the World and Celebrations, a night in a hotel, Friday evening pizza, Saturday morning hot breakfast, a lifeguard at the pool, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Rooms must be reserved no later than March 3rd, 2026. Any rooms reserved after March 3rd, 2026 will be on a first come, first served basis as available and may not qualify for the Girl Scouts group rate.
