Local Girl Scouts in Benton County will develop leadership skills, use their voices to create change, and overcome barriers.
Girl Scouts welcomed a gift of $10,000 from Benton County Community Foundation to fund the Girl Scout Leadership Program in Benton County!
“The Benton County Community Foundation is changing the lives of girls across the county,” said Diane Nelson, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. “Their support allows us to continue doing what we’ve always done: empower girls, advocate for them, and provide an environment where they can thrive.”
This investment will directly fund program development, delivery, supplies, and volunteer training, while also expanding access so more girls across the region can participate. Thanks to the Benton County Community Foundation, every girl, regardless of the barriers she may face, can discover her strengths and grow with the support of positive adult mentors.
